This is the place to come if you are interested in everything about building a steady (and lean) start up.

The Steady Startup Circle

Why am I starting this circle is possibly a long story having done several start ups combined with a short lived career in the Investment Industry with Morgan Stanley.

The chief reason is that we have developed a methodology and definition of a start-up.

A Steady Start-up is assumed to be lean in the first place mostly because the greater percentage of start-ups (in the USA) are bootstrapped and self financed. They are usually not with the same ambition as the “lean venture capital backed start-ups”  Yet this circle does draw partly on the research and experiences discussed in the book, The Lean Start Up.

I believe these steady start ups are the more common start-up and present a new wave of the future where more people will be self employed and financially autonomous motivated more by purpose for better health, work and life balance instead of the fame or notoriety of innovations and trends that currently capture the public eye. Hey if you disagree with me let me know!

Yet, managing your own start-up business will be driven by emerging, start-up methodology and technology products and services. The Steady Start-up Circle is about learning, testing and developing these new ideas so that they can be refined and incorporated into a new system that will help the more common business start-up be sustainable and built to last. Pretty simple really.

Send us a short note, or a tweet at SteadyStartup if you are interested in being part of this start up circle. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Our Re-scheduled first meeting for The Steady Startup Circle will be Thursday March 22, 2012 at The CEO Space Conference in Henderson Nevada.  Announcements for the meetup group details will follow shortly.

Cheers,
Charles
